Back and leg pain

Question:

My mri showed that I have a central disc protrusion at L4 and L5 with annular tear is seen impinging upon thecal sac and abutting thr left L5 nerve root. Will physical therapy solve this problem I have been having pain in the groin and back and leg for about 8 months now Thanks
