Isotonic Supplements

04/16/2009

Question:

Isotonic vitamins and supplements are touted as being more effective due to high absorption rates (90%) vs tablets(30-40%), particularly on an empty stomach. Is there any validity to this? Isotonic supplements are very costly vs tablet forms. Thank you!

Answer:

The concept sounds great but humans are dependent on slow long duration of absorption for vitamins and minerals as opposed to drugs where we strive for instant absorption, so for these the validity is not there.
