Question:

1.)what exactly is meant by "unusual risk taking behavior" as a side effect of xanax 2.) what is meant by "forgetfulness" as a side effect of xanax 3.) would xanax effect my bookkeeping at work

Answer:

These questions primarily relate in general to the central nervous system sedative effects of this class of medications. All of the things that you mention are risks but are greater when the dose of these medications are in the higher dose ranges. They also are at increased risk in certain individual patients that are predisposed (sensitive) to the sedative properties of this class of medications. As with all drug related side effects, it is important to report any potential difficulties (including the ones you mentioned) to your physician immediately if they appear.
