Missing teeth09/03/2008 04:10PM |
Some of my 20 month old son`s teeth have not come in. The lower teeth on the right side have come in but not on the left side. I am reluctant to get a x-ray. Does he need one at this time?
The timing of eruption of baby teeth varies broadly, and it is not unusual for your 20-month-old son not to have all of his teeth by this time. He should be examined by a dentist experienced in seeing young children, but x-rays are probably not necessary at this time.
