Question:

Any info about failures in cerec crowns? I have 2 that have chipped after 2 years? Cost was aver $5 thousand, one is part of a bridge.
Not sure what to do for the future

Answer:

There are many materials available for dental crowns and bridges, but most of them that look like teeth have a ceramic component. Ceramics are brittle by nature and chipping can occur, especially in the back areas of the mouth where forces are high.
If esthetics are your priority, you are forced to deal with the chipping complications associated with ceramics. If it is a back tooth, gold will never chip.
