OverviewUrinary incontinence, often associated with an Over Active Bladder (OAB), is the unexpected and embarrassing loss of bladder control in adults. As many as 12 million Americans are incontinent, some over a long period of time and others only temporarily. Women are about twice as likely as men to become incontinent, and the risk increases with age.Incontinence occurs when the urinary system can't properly control the storage of urine in the bladder and its periodic release.
