Karen Klyn, RN

Karen Klyn, RN, is the Nurse Coordinator of the Lipid Research Center at St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland, OH. Working with the care team, Ms. Klyn takes care of adults with Type 2 diabetes. She teaches people with diabetes how best to take care of themselves, and helps implement a research project on diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Prior to this position, she worked as a staff nurse at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, OH, taking care of geriatric patients and people with cancer, among other responsibilities. During her time at Mt. Sinai, Ms. Klyn also took care of patients enrolled in research studies on glucose monitoring, blood pressure care, high cholesterol, and other medical issues. Ms. Klyn received her Associate Degree in Nursing at Lakeland Community College in Mentor, OH. She belongs to the Lipid Nurse Task Force and the American Association of Diabetes Educators.
