The month of July brought many new additions to NetWellness. Over the coming months this will continue. Finding reliable health information can be difficult. NetWellness will continue to try to make this search easier for you. If you don't find what you need, let us know through our feedback page and check back frequently.
August 1st through 7th is World Breastfeeding Week but at NetWellness it's Breastfeeding month. Our Breastfeeding experts from the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing and College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University School of Nursing and School of Medicine can provide you with the information you need to make this a rewarding experience for you and healthy start for your baby.
NetWellness' newest topic is colorectal diseases. Janice Frederick Rafferty, MD has developed the topic and will answer your questions on a variety of diseases. Dr. Rafferty is an Assistant Professor and Chief of the Division of Colorectal Surgery in the Department of Surgery of the College of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati. While discussing diseases of the colon and rectum can be embarrassing Dr. Rafferty reminds us all that no one dies of embarrassment. Cancers of the colon and rectum are second only to lung cancer in deaths.
Another new topic added this month to NetWellness is Vascular Surgery. In addition to providing general information on the topic, Amy B. Reed, MD will answer your questions. Dr. Reed is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Vascular Surgery Fellowship program in the Division of Vascular Surgery of the Department of Surgery at the College of Medicine of the University of Cincinnati. Vascular disease effects the body's circulation. Vascular disease kills or cripples almost as many Americans as heart disease or cancer
